No, real police work is just doing what needs to be done. I would much rather safe a life by locking up a DUI that make a pocs, tics, or heaven forbid a pom (you do know that's a $25 fine, don't you). Real police work is doing the boring drudgery that the citizens need us to do rather than grandstanding and only looking for a certain type of case. Real police take the reports, write the citations, stop the cars, talk to the kids, make the burglar alarms and do all of that less-than-glorious stuff.
