I'm sure the deputies you see every day in court appreciate learning what you think of them. Now maybe you can understand the animosity toward the retired guys that have come over and "taken over" - just lateraled right in - while your agency requires laterals to go through practically another academy because they aren't "good enough." And you wonder why you don't get quality laterals, while other agencies are picking up all sorts of good officers who want to move to Kentucky for various reasons.
