I do not believe that active duty officers should be detailed to work U of L events for traffic purposes. This is a job better handled by off duty LMPD officers being paid by the University not the taxpayer. There are fewer cars on the street now, due to a personnel shortage. At least off duty officers should have the option of being paid for their services. Where is the U of L Police dept?
