If an LMPD Officer goes to Iraq and has to fire his weapon in combat, could White get him fired for that too?

I'm curious, how have local officers who have returned from military duty been treated? Have they been given the same opportunities for promotion? What happens if they get called up while in recruit school?

Chief White would only fire the officers if 1) He only "believed" his life or the life of his fellow soldiers was in danger instead of having unfailing proof, 2) the officer some how identified himself as an off duty officer, 3) the officer had ever critizied the chief or assistant chiefs, or 4) failed to puff puff give.
