What is most interesting is that the suspect fired 20+ rifle and handgun rounds at LMPD officers, and only one officer returned fire. Hmmm? Some of the officers have told their friends they were to busy taking cover and never had a clear target to return fire. More ominously, some officers said they don't want to be the next Mackenzie Mattingly. They also report the shoddy treatment by the administration of the one officer who did return fire.
