You are so on point - and I hope that every single LMPD officer that reads this remembers this during the next school board election - and pointedly asks every candidate - do you support arming YOUR police? If the answer is yes, get it recorded, if the answer is no - DO NOT VOTE FOR THEM AND DO NOT ENDORSE THEM IN ANY WAY and MAKE IT CLEAR WHY YOU ARE NOT.

I know Stan is trying, but he needs your help. Such as the FOP mentioning, we'll back up YOUR guys, not go into schools with people you have castrated. I'm told they actually have a "cowardice clause" - that if they don't go into a school under those circumstances, they can be fired.

Maybe the school system should start getting billed for THEIR false alarms?

This way, if an LMPD (or JCSO or St. M) officer shoots somebody in a school situation - it will fall to the CITY to defend (or not defend) that officer, thereby allowing the school board to disclaim any responsibility.

Here's a thought - add THEIR freqs to LMPD radios? They work on UHF, just like the Urban side, after all. For the Suburban side folks, it would be a little more difficult, of course, since the Suburban side is on VHF. For some reason, sharing freq access is such a ... concept.
