I'm not sure what you mean by "supporting" either? What do you expect the citizenry to do? I'm not being argumentative, I really don't know what I'm expected to do to support LMPD (and other policing agencies). If I have information, I gladly share it. I complain to my council person (who admittedly is useless). I can't get an email address for the Major of my district, the LMPD website doesn't give ANY email contact. My division doesn't have any form of a citizen group - and since I work evenings I can't attend weeknight meetings anyway.

Yes, I totally understand. The problem as I see it is what in the hell do we do? I've got family on your department and I haven't got a clue how to help them except by giving personal support.
