Schools face shortage of resource officers

Yep. And they are called "cowards" if they hold back on the absurd idea of responding to a burglar alarm at night, in a large building, WITHOUT a weapon? Kind of throws all their training out of whack, since they are all fully trained, state certified officers, have to be, by law. I know that several JCPS officers fled to LMPD in the recent lateral hiring. The actions of the school board - and it IS a board decision - is downright criminal. I'm sure they'll cry buckets when one of these guys gets hurt, or God forbid, killed.
