Like any officer is going to want to pull out a taser and use it now. Their worse nightmare could come true and they will lose their job for trying to arrest a suspected criminal.
As far as I am concerned the officers have not made the department look bad, Chief Corwin picks up that role when he went overboard and recommended termination.
