2 KCPD Officers Face Termination For Taser Use

I think that this is just another situation that was blown out of proportion by the media. Tazers are used to protect an officer when he is put into a combative situation with a suspect. The way the video was cut by the media only shows the portion in which the suspect was being tazed for the last time and very little of the suspect's behavior immediately before it. Therefore, it is hard for anyone to say whether the officer's took the right action. It seems to me that the media is putting an editing spin on this story to generate more public interest for themselves, otherwise, they would have shown more of the dash-cam video prior to the tazing. In these type of cases I always want to assume that the officers are in the right, especially when dealing with a difficult and uncooperative subject. Hopefully, the tape will be reviewed without media bias and the officers will be acted upon fairly. It appears to me that their actions were appropriate and hopefully they will be cleared of any wrongdoing.
