Competence and common sense don't automatically come with a sheepskin. Some of the best Cops I have ever served with wouldn't pass today's entrance requirements, but they have what it takes to be a good cop. They can talk to people, they can be tough, they can be compasionate and caring.

They may not have a degree, but they they have a PHD in life skills.
