Rehiring LMPD Officers

Huhhh?

Man I can't believe you. You must have a vested interest in Richmond. The basic academy at Richmond spends needless hours on courses that LMPD Officers don't need, like a week of fingerprinting.

I remember when I went the average instructor had a couple of years experience with a small rural department. The head of the program had been fired from his last department and the weeks drug on and on. I had prior service and knew that a lot of the things I was hearing was not right.

I remember when the firearms instructor wanted to fail one of our guys because he couldn't count the bullet holes because the center of his target, about a 2 inch circle was completely obliterated. The recruit had now thrown one off paper much les out into the 9 ring all week long.

As far as the Sergeant training goes, it is still new program and I am sure they want to see it succeed. I would rather they went there and learned something useful than listen to the nonsense that comes out of SPI.

Yes there are adavantages to some of the training, but it is like public school. You either take what the government sends you or try your hand elswhere like private schools.

Huhhh?

Because the morons sending them there don't know any better. Yes, its a cow college. Yes, the courses I've been to there are mostly an embarrassment. And finally, who do those morons in Richmond think they are? Telling veteran officers that they can?t commute? Those morons can stay in that idiotic ?dorm? if they want to, but I have passed that phase of my life. Forgive me if I feel like I?ve earned the right to not have to put up with that kind of horseshit anymore.
