Arizona Sheriff Knows How To Get The Job Done

Thats what we need here. Maybe then people wont think that going to jail is easy. We need to quit letting criminals live better then us.

You might call the President of the Arizona State Lodge to ask why they supported his opponent in the 2004 election for Maricopa Sheriff, and why they passed a vote of no confidence in him a few years back. You might also call the President of the Maricopa County Deputy's Association and ask him why he claimed that Arpaio is favoring his political supporters with the best assignments on his department. Things are not all well and good in Maricopa County, even though he seems to do a fine job in the jail and on TV.

This is all true. I have seen some documentery TV on him, and he gets along quite well with the inmates. He is certainly a no nonsense person,and knows how to handle his job. Here, he would make the best Mayor, and you would not have to worry about, what a Police Chief he would choose. He is one square shooter!...................

I enjoy some of the ideas he uses and would really like to see a system like his used in this area. One of the things I cannot find is a report on if his methods have affected the crime rate in that area. Another thing missing in any review of his "jail" is, does it have many, if any, repeat visitors.

If there any findings that his sysyem deters crime as much as it saves money on soft extras, then hell yes, let's try it here. I can even think of a few people I know who can try it out as permanent residents.....War Wagon

As a corrections officer here in Louisville I can tell you that it will never happen . I have been on the department for seven years, thats been four department heads and they were all soft on inmates except for George DeTella who was kick ********** and take names and he did not last long. All we do is warehouse punks and thats it. If you want a hadrcore jail than move to Arizona or vote out King Jerry. Jail should be a place you would hate go to but insted it's a place to get a Zabo and rest. The new Director Tom Campbell is JOKE ! He will never run a jail like Sheriff Joe Apraio FORGET IT .
