Sgt. Edward A. Hatcher
HATCHER, SGT. EDWARD A., 52, of Louisville, died Tuesday, May 17. 2005, at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was a sergeant with the Louisville Metro Police Department. Sgt. Hatcher was a veteran of over 30 years of service to the community, having formerly served with the Kentucky State Police Department and the old Jefferson County Police Department. He was a former chaplain for FOP Lodge #614 and a member of the Commanding Officers Association, Jeffersontown Masonic Lodge #774 and Kosair Shrine. He is survived by three daughters, Nicole Hatcher, Angela Gregory and Allison Hatcher; a son, Robert Camarota; his mother, Blanche Combs; a sister, Donna Johnson; and a grandson, Gage Neal. His memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane. Visiting will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday, with an FOP service at 7 p.m. Friday, at Pearson's. Expressions of sympathy may go to the WHAS Crusade for Children.

my first sgt. when i got hired and one of the best i have ever had. He may not have done everything right, but his heart was always in the right place. He always said he probally die on the job and he did because he loved it so much. Rest in Peace

Sarge was one of those people on the department that always asked me how I was and was genuinely interested. He always had a kind word for me and I truly enjoyed running into him from time to time. Thanks for making a difference. Rest in Peace.

Ed was a great guy. Police work was his life. Ed was not flashey and had a big heart. Ed probably stayed too long, but that's how he wanted it.
