If you will look at the UOR codes and check, you will see that there are KRS violation codes for loud noise, traffic obstruction, illegal parking, holding the left lane, disregarding a traffic control device (need I go on?) that could be enforced. It would be VERY effictive if vehicles were towed and impounded overnight for many of the violations (and yes, it is legal in many cases), that would put some cruisers of foot and they would have to pay the fines plus towing and impound fees.

"We ALL need to unite as a community "....I agree completely, but , why is it the honest, law abiding local tax payers are the ones being asked and expected to do all the giving. Local property owners and tax payers are the ones who have to pay the bills for cleanup and repair when it is all over, some of the wrong-dooers get to go back to another community or to their local hangouts.

I would like to reply to your second comment. On Dixie Hwy. and Preston Hwy. most of the businesses have extra security hired to take care of problems. Only if they get to big to handle are regular beat officers called. As far as I know, no overtime is budgeted for this activity. Also you do not have gangs of anywhere from 15 to 50 youths running up and down the highway, intimidating, shooting, robbing, assaulting etc. etc. innocent people.
