I was there in it. All the troopers kept saying 'I don't know how you guys can work in this city' -referring to how 'touchy feely, be nice' we are here to the criminals. They had every right to shoot in this situattion, as any officer would have, but the sad fact is, had it been an LMPD officer- he'd be fired and crucified by the media, then by Stengel and Coleman. Maybe we can get a State Trooper for our next chief!

You simply don't run from the state police- and get away with it.

Check out Ms. Graves' criminal history on Courtnet. She is no angel. She is a CONVICTED FELON. I wish the media would start sharing people's criminal history before they start making these hoodlums look like model citizens on there newscasts.

She must be white since the media didn't mention it.

Several years ago I was working for another agency with a joke for a chief. A state trooper in Richmond shot and wounded a troubled youth who was trying to turn him into a hood ornament. The youth was transported to UK Med for treatment. I was sent to the ER to guard the suspect until the troopers could get someone there. I walk into the exam room and I know the suspect. I ask him what happened and all he would tell me is, "I run from you Lexington guys all the time and ya'll never shot me." The Troopers were still using their 10mm Smiths with the 175 grain silver tip hollow points with a muzzle velocity of 1250 fps, and the trooper's shot blasted the suspects upper thigh into poor quality hamburger. The suspect lost his leg and went to prison for 5 years. As far as I know, he never ran from the police again.

Had the courts and liberal judges dealt with the young miscreant, most likely he would have learned his lesson early on and not lost his leg. If Michael Newby and Travis Ballard had been in jail where they belonged, they wouldn't be in Hell now.

Louisville's Mayor and Police Chief go by the "Fair Chance Rule".

You have to give the perpetrator a fair chance before you shoot.

A Police officer can only fire their weapon after:

1) The Perp runs over the police officer.

2) The Perp shoots, stabs or hits the Officer in the head with some

object.

That way they can prove to Louis Coleman and Christopher X

and all the rest that they genuinely care about the safety of "all

our citizens"

I wonder if we could get them to send about 20 Troopers and take care of the Broadway Festival??????????

I'm not a cop but when I was little, living in eastern Ky, you simply did not run from a trooper because if he had to come get you he was bringing a severe whooping with him. You said, "yes, sir" or "no, sir" or you got your head split. The way it's supposed to be. You could run from the city officers and the deputies because they had so much political weight on their shoulders that they couldn't effectively do their jobs. I wish our officers in Louisville had the leverage that the troopers enjoy. I think everyone of our hoodlums would think twice before braking the law.

I had an old trooper tell me one time that their people stand by them and they take no crap from anyone. This point was proved in Louisville the other day when a idiot tried to run over one and got her butt shot. That's proper police work like it or not. As long as the 3 stooges run the LMPD along with the joke of a Mayor for LIfe, the police will never be able to do their job. Do what u got to do, draw your check, and go home, is the best advice given due to the perception of a small amount of BIG MOUTHED IDIOTS that hate the police and cry tears to the media who gives a crap less about LMPD. It will never change in this city folks.

PS Chief what are you going to do about the drunk cop in his cruiser smashing into another car. SWEEP IT UNDER THE RUG??
