As a citizen of this community I am saddened and angry at what has happened. It is a senseless tragedy. The death of this upstanding officer is a reminder of how dangerous their jobs are and how crime takes its toll on so many in different ways. My dad's cousin was a Kentucky State trooper killed in the line of duty 20+ years ago. I don't remember a lot about it but I do remember seeing the comraderie among each officer there. Otherwise strong men sobbing due to the shocking death of their bretheren
