Downard Announces Candidacy

The events of this week have touched me and so many others beyond description. I know several of these young officiers personally and my son aspires to be one of them. As I listened to the news unfolding I prayed for the officier's survival and that if the worse came to be, that the press would cover the situation fairly for the officier. It is ashame that such a tragedy has to happen before 'the guys in blue' are appreciated for the super job they do every day dealing with those that others can't deal with or won't deal with. How can any one of us-especially those who share the uniform- judge any one of them doing their job? What would you do in that split second? And I thought all were innocent until proven guilty-----not with the LMPD. It truly has been a sad year for the LMPD and for Louisville losing officiers in death and to the lack of support by their own and the court of certain public opinion. So as you see these officiers, please thank them and thank your lucky stars that they have chosen this job. I hesistate to think what our daily life would be without them. Could you walk in their shoes???? I will support Kelly and all the men in blue. God bless all of them. Thanks guys.....stay safe.
