Louisville used to have a small town atmosphere, which was one of the things that made living here so great. The city seemed safe and a place where you could leave the doors unlocked and have a good relationship with your neighbors ( in most areas). Now since we've become a "Metro" Louisville things seemed to have progressively slid down hill. Crime seems to be the only thing the news glamorizes, the mayor seems so preoccupied with some other agenda instead of his "down home" attitude he once portrayed.
