Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely...

Is something the new Kentucky Bureau of Investigation can investigate? Or maybe the FBI, since it effects inter-state commerce? I think we could turn this into a terrific fund raiser. Officers would buy tickets in a lottery to see who would get to put the cuffs on the crook when he is finally indicted. We could make millions. Put me down for a $100 worth.

Louisville used to have a small town atmosphere, which was one of the things that made living here so great. The city seemed safe and a place where you could leave the doors unlocked and have a good relationship with your neighbors ( in most areas). Now since we've become a "Metro" Louisville things seemed to have progressively slid down hill. Crime seems to be the only thing the news glamorizes, the mayor seems so preoccupied with some other agenda instead of his "down home" attitude he once portrayed. Now his speaches seem fake and more in line with the typical politician garbage of " say what you think they want to hear". I hope and pray that the city I once loved will come back to being a city of togetherness and not so "We are a big city now, so we have to put on a different face to the country. Why cant we be who we used to be.

The only way to make a difference is to put someone in the mayors office that cares about the city and the people who live in it not just to use the office for power and or a stepping stone to larger politics.

The Courier-Journal has been the Louisville Democrat establishment's PRAVDA-style propaganda rag since Gannett took it over. I haven't subscribed in years. Why pay for it when you can read more current and accurate information off Internet news sites for free? If you want a good paper, get the Wall Street Journal. USA Today is far better even thought it's a Gannett paper too.

If Abramson gets reelected, this community will suffer the fallout - fewer jobs as companies are chased out by his moronic ideas. Only Abramson and his hand-picked appointees would ever think that putting dozens of smelly garbage trucks next to the high tech businesses in Technology Park is a good idea. Or that it makes sense to spend millions so the City can "rent a City-owned building."

Time for these bozos in the Abramson administration to be put out to pasture by the voters before they hurt anything else. Hopefully the usual Abramson fans in the Highlands and West end will wake up and smell the coffee. His bad policies are causing Louisville crime to go up and Louisville employment to go down.

Bravo!

I agree that Hal Heiner is being made a scapegoat because he pointed out the truth. He actually questioned that validity of Jerry Abramson and the Titan Corporation scandal. I believe that only one telivision station covered the scandal and it was quickly swept under the rug. The Courier didn't bother to print anything about it.

Please keep on working hard for the comunity Mr. Heiner. We need people like you in office that will not succumb to the bribery and corruption that has run rampant in this administration.

Jerry Abramson took advantage of merger to hire all of his cronies for 100 Thousand a year plus jobs and fired minimum wage employees. His lies and corruption need to keep being exposed.

It always bugs me when people complain about, crime, jobs,

the local economy etc., and then they still go out and vote people

like Jerry Abramson in to office. With the media as his "whipping

boy" he pretty much does what he wants when he wants.

I say "wake up" louisville and do something about it. The press

should be called to task at every opportunity and more people like

Councilman Heiner need to speak up.

Another great reason why you should never trust or vote for a Democrat! It is truly a shame that our community has become what it has since Jerry Abramson and his political cronies have been in charge. Can anyone tell me one positive thing that the mayor has done for this community besides Waterfront Park (the home for the homeless) and Fourth Street LIve (the hangout for drunks)? He has done nothing for our local economy! Phillip Morris and other companies in town have gotten rid of most of their employees or just left town! Why is this? Why does Jerry blame the Governor and President for our local economy problems? Don't the problems begin with the local government? Why does Jerry always dodge answering questions given to him and change the subject? Why is crime in the city always at an all time high while Jerry is mayor? All of these are reasons why Jerry should not be charge. So why does it surprise you to learn of another covered-up corruption? VOTE JERRY OUT during the next election. HE IS A FRAUD!!

The Justice Resource Center is quick to call for outside investigations by the FBI or others when the police are involved in some sort of controversy. Why can't the FOP make a request from the FBI, our Congressional Representatives or the Kentucky Attorney General for an independent criminal investigation of the alleged dealings with Titan and the others?

This is news to me. Maybe the fop should get all of its facts straight before spewing its own political rhetoric . At least the courier-journal has decent writers and a professional staff who validate their sources before printing a newspaper. You people are a joke.

If you ever bothered to read a decent newspaper on a regular basis, you'd know how poor the Courier-Journal is at reporting. The totally ignore major news stories and scandals, simply because their editors are politically in bed with the Democrats and don't like to report anything bad about them. This is because they have no local competition. In most cities there is competition between major newspapers that keeps them hungry and willing to "eat their young" to sell papers. Major political scandals like Titan-gate and other sweetheart City contract deals don't go unreported in major cities like they do in Louisville.

I am always amazed at people who expect lower level politicians to somehow be above deceit and corruption (i.e.: lies and no bid contracts), while the same people seem to ignore the lies and deceit of top level politicians. Yes, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, but have the courage to attack corruption at all times and at all levels, not just when it suits some agenda or hurts a political party other than your own.
