Public safety top priority, mayor says...

This mayor thinks he own's this city and everyone in it owes him for the great job he thinks he's doing. I worked for a mayor in another city like him and the only way to get rid of them is at the polls. This mayor I worked for finally got indicted for 300 felony counts of stealing from the city treasury and taking bribes. I'd say the same thing goes on here and it probably will catch up with him sooner or later. To the media you can keep plugging this mayor on how great he is until he finally get's caught up in something, then you'll eat your words about him. I figure he'll end up with a cast on his arm from patting himself on the back "saying how great I am and how great a job I'm doing." Jerry your a JOKE!!!

I don't believe Abramson. I do believe that he is telling the people what they want to hear to sell himself. The truth of the matter, is that he doesn't care about Emergency services nor the safety of this city's police force. Abramson is a career politician he takes care of his friends and at the cost of Tax Payers for example the Deputy Mayors he pays each a $100,000.00 salary. Why do we need these people? Answer, We don't that money could be used for our new police communications to keep our officers safe. Also the preposed path for cyclist, where will he get the police officers to patrol that beaten path. JERRY IS NOT THE ANSWER. JERRY IS THE PROBLEM. WE NEED A SOLUTION.

I do not believe you know the man. I have known the mayor for over 25 years andhe is an honarable man.

Public Safety this, Public Safety that, Tryin to when over the police. What a crock, he thinks we are stupid! This is another way to gain another 4 yrs as the mayor. Somebody better suggest to either Doug Hawkins or Rebeca Jackson to run for Mayor.

Jerry has outdone himself this time. The people he has screwed over the most (Police, Fire, EMS) is his platform for re-election! Wake up Louisville he only takes care of his own. Jerry tell me why after two years of merger the police are still on two radio systems? Jerry tell me why EMS is still not merged, why EMS is still using two different dispatch systems, and why Yellow ambulance (a private contract service) is now making all non-emergency runs in the old city fire districts? How much is that costing the taxpayers?

Louisville will not see MetroSafe till 2007 if we are lucky. You know what you will see! A new ARENA! You wait and see! Jerry will save the day with 20 million dollars or so. Oh not for first responder communication system, but for a NBA team. If you don't believe me then why is the new metro council president (D-Barbara Shanklin) already forming a committee on building a new downtown arena?

CONGRADULATIONS MR. MAYOR, ON A JOB WELL DONE, INSPITE OF A FEW BLUNDERS. WE ALL MAKE THEM. BUT TO SEE THEM, AND IGNORE THEM IS THE WORST OF ALL BLUNDERS. I THINK YOU'RE GOOD FOR THIS CITY, BUT I CAN'T SAY THE SAME FOR YOU'RE SELECTION OF CHIEF WHITE. THE MAN IS A TOTAL SCREW -UP. I CANNOT GIVE YOU MY VOTE THIS TIME. UNLESS WHITE IS REPLACED PRIOR TO THE PRIMARY. I'M NOT ALONE IN THIS OPINION. YOUR BLACKSHEEP "WILL" COST YOU VOTES, YOU'D OTHERWISE WOULD RECEIVE.." DON'T BE HARD-HEADED... Where is all this money he's bragging about? I have seen nothing but finance based cuts since merger. First , no pay raise--then units are shut down or drastically cut. The stats on paper show a budget increase. What is not shown, or widely known, is where it is going???

If the budget was increased to accomodate upper management salaries while the working masses "do more with less" then we have achieved NOTHING!!

Finance says we have no money. Jerry claims we have more than we ever have...somebody please help me figure it out!
