Officer Cambron Did The Right Thing

December 31st, 2004 @ 4:01PM (19 years ago)

Congratulations Steve on your nightmare finally being over. Did the Chief actually grow a spine and clear somebody on a use of force complaint drummed up by Dave Stengel. Did he get Queen Jerry's permission to do so? Whats up with the bullsh*t remedial training and counseling. Are they going to teach you to hand out a teddy bear next time. Whats up with the bullsh*t reprimand for cursing and not handing over the video quick enough. What a chicken **** reprimand that is. It only shows that this Chief will not totally clear anybody unless its a member of his precious command staff.

You did do it right steve, but we always knew that. You were just another slow newsday piece.

WOW! Great article Mr. Schweizer. I am pleased that you posted the subject's criminal record so that everyone can see that he isn't a darling little angel that was mistreated by the Police.

I feel that our police should be out there to protect us and I want the best people available to protect my family. Officer Cambron sounds like the guy I want patrolling my neighborhood.

Thank you Officer Cambron!

Yes Paul, you did a great article. Know you and Steve from way back. If the Chief wants officers to be 'Officers and Gentlemen', he should first, clean up his own record! Also, he should take the"cleric" aside and have him preach the word, COMPLIANCE!

The brouhaha started by Louis Coleman and Commonwealthâ??s Attorney Dave Stengel over the arrest of Marshall Galloway is laughable. I have known Officer Harry Cambron since he signed on the Louisville Police Department. At no time, never, did I observed him mistreat a prisoner. Officer Cambron is an outstanding officer with a chest full of medals to prove it. Medals he actually earned; not the John Kerry type some of the hierarchy and pretty boys "earned." Heâ??s a no nonsense type that gets the job done. Because of Cambronâ??s dedication, scores of felons are off our streets. Heâ??s welcome in my neighborhood anytime.

In these times of so-called community oriented policing some people may have forgotten the primary job of a police officer is to catch crooks and protect the citizens from the thugs that prey. Itâ??s would be great if they could always do so being Officer Nice Guy. However, being nice isnâ??t possible in a lot of situations, especially when officers are confronted by violent, police fighting felons.

I also found it laughable that Commonwealthâ??s Attorney Dave Stengel found Officers Cambronâ??s actions â??disturbing.â? Stengel should spend more time dealing with the flood of scandals that have flowed from his office (frivolous indictments, prosecutors conspiring with other prosecutors to fix tickets and obstruct justice, indictment of MacKenzie Mattingly, indictment of the business owner forced to shoot an armed robber to save his won life, dismissed murder and robbery chargesâ?¦) instead of looking over the shoulders of hard working cops.

Stengel, A wise man once told me "keep your **** list short and deal with one jack-@ff at a time. Guess what? Your next. When is the election????

Wow, that is one extensive criminal history there. I wonder why the media decided not to put that in their story. I know they request criminal histories to go along with mug shots for news all the time, yet are selective in using them, such as prom pictures of thugs instead. But I digress...

Perhaps it wouldn't have been such a "great" story to air then, eh?

Officer Cambron did nothing wrong, period.

Why has Chief Whited decided to back Officer Cambron:

A: It was the right thing to do.

B: The Mayor said it was okay.

C: The Chief of Staff (Spin Doctor) did a test poll

D: He wanted to dance with the FOP

E: All of the above
