Sometimes it takes someone making up something humorus that takes a pot shot at the things that are wrong. Not only has Mr. Hawkins done this in a timely and seasonal theme, but he is correct in every aspect of it.

Thank you Doug Hawkins for supporting us. We only wish you would run for mayor!!! But I guess you are way to ethical to be mayor in this town of criminal politics!!!

Can Mr Hawkins be voted in as an associate member of the lodge? I think we should send him a thank you card!

Seriously, the FOP leadership needs to send this guy a letter of support ASAP. He also needs to be given the red carpet treatment to any or our meetings. (not trying to say anything negative about the FOP).

Okay, if Doug Hawkins can remove the college degree and/or prior Police experience requirements that restrict several high ranking pre-LMPD candidates from applying, then I might consider voting for Doug Hawkins. To the officer who created this, it was great! I'm still laughing my ********** off!!! LOL

It warms my heart in this holiday season that a person of politics defends us with reason. A man of integrity, a man that does care. He states the truth, for us that don't dare. We value our family and hold our jobs dear, but what fear of a smear will end our career? I don't know Mr.Hawkins but sure wish I did, he seems to understand the future for my kid. A future with leaders that know what's at stake, not a self serving puppet with dollars to make. The blue wall that protected the GOOD people for years is silently crumbling under police officers tears. Hands tied and careers on the brink. Mr Hawkins poem was a repreive from the stink. THANK GOD SOMEONE CARES.
