Louisville's criminals aren't stopping at the county line. They've been going out to Oldham and Shelby to pull off armed robberies for a while. They're out in the far reaches of the east end killing, carjacking and sawing off catalytic converters off in broad daylight. Former inmates prowl through middle class neighborhoods looking for open car doors and anything else they can steal from peoples yards.
None of this happened back when courts put criminals in prison, rather than released them, or when police who laid down were suspended or fired, rather than promoted to the command staff.
