Metro was never going to get retired people to go back to an overnight 12-hour in the most dangerous parts of town, unless they were absolutely desperate for money. The FOP isn't interested in retired people coming back with their original seniority. They will bump current officers out of do-nothing office jobs and laid back dayshift spots in the far reaches of the suburbs.

The department needs to get realistic about what's actually possible to solve the dangerous officer shortage putting peoples lives at risk. They need to push the 20-30 year olds back on the high crime beats and let the older people, if they'll come back, take the easy spots that older people can still handle. This idea that you can kick back after 5-10 years only came about since merger. In the old department people worked their butt off at least until they hit 20. If you were young, kicked back hiding out you usually got branded as a P.O.S. on LPD at least.

The Mayor gets rocked out of the blue for no reason. The guy simply walks away. Unreal. Two officers plea guilty to throwing drinks at people. WTF is going on?

This website.

This website is totally worthless. Chris. That guy broke your jaw and you refused to go to court to prosecute him. I saw you carrying that 16 year old girl on your back at the shop before you crashed your car with her in it, while in that pursuit off duty. Dude. Kill this site. Your former comrades from your previous agency in Frankfort, dropped you in for getting locked in the back seat of your car.

Right here is why the media sucks. Trying to get employers to comment on a legal decision that has nothing to do with their company operations. Companies or individuals do not have to offer an opinion on anything not related to them. Period.

Gotta love the media, anything to start scrap without giving time to the investigation. And before anyone says anything negative, lets see who they interviewed for this story and did those same people step up to be interviewed by investigators.
