The only ones who committed a legitimate felony on Jan 6 were the relatively small fraction who assaulted people, vandalized and physically pushed someone out of the way to enter a restricted area. You could consider these people to be rioters, like all of the rioters who the FBI never attempted to locate or arrest for burning down Louisville. You can go read the law yourself to understand that BLM and their friends were committing acts of insurrection against a subdivision of the Commonwealth of Kentucky (Louisville Metro Government and the courts) when they attacked government buildings and police. A BLM supporter even shot 2 officers. Never saw the FBI take an interest in that.

The prosecution has refused to release the security cam videos, but you can see on cell phone videos that nobody even attempted to stop most of the crowd inside the US Capitol to leave. They didn't even give verbal directions in person of over a public address system.

Maybe a Republican-hating jury in Washington DC is willing to send someone to prison for criminal trespass, but that's how things work in any 3rd world banana republic like that.
