It takes the mayor and metro council about half a year just to decide if they want to block or unblock a couple of small roads in Iroquois and Cherokee parks. That's the kind of ineptitude that we're witnessing in this city. Can we actually believe that this group of imbeciles is even capable of tackling the much more serious issues like murder, shootings, and carjackings? Not that long ago, we actually had a big enough police department and enough officers to actually make a significant impact on the violent crime problem, but Bike Path refused to allow the police to be proactive in the highest crime parts of Louisville. Too late now, there's barely just enough officers on the streets to cover the regular dispatched calls. Bike Path could've and should've made better use of the police force back when he still had all the available resources at his disposal.
