Chicago is the future of Louisville. Chicago had very high crime until the early 1990s. The police got much more active in the mid-1990s, resulting in murders going from 943 per year to 415 per year. Then the left wing activists started calling the Chicago PD racist. The politicians decided to neuter them by hiring in some FBI big shot in 2008 who didn't know much of anything about running a police department except how to tell police not to police in the name of "civil rights"

By 2010, Chicago's shootings had risen higher than Los Angeles and their homicide clearance rate dropped from 70% to 30%. By 2016 Chicago's shootings and homcides were higher than in both Los Angeles and New York City combined.

Slapping a consent decree on top of Louisville's already skyrocketing homicides is going to put Louisville among the top 5 most violent cities in America. People and companies are going to start fleeing in droves. Property values in nice neighborhoods are going to bottom out. We've already seen ghetto shooters firing randomly in rich east end neighborhoods this summer. Things are going to get a lot worse from here on out.
