This Mayor's been consistently told by his leftist radical friends that pro-active policing is racist. He's a scared woke white millionaire politician. They typically don't know a lot of average every day black people other than radicals active in politics and a bunch of other weak black politicians catering to radicals.

The writing is on the wall that the millionaire Hotel business guy democrat will probably win since this is a democrat county run by welfarians. If he's at least like Abramson was in the 90s, then he won't meddle in every single police department decision and crime might go down a little.
