Back in the 1990s a guy like Fischer probably would have been convicted of felony lying to the FBI or perjury. Louisville lawyers as a class of people are overwhelming democrat and they don't spend much time in prosecution jobs before returning to private law to make the big money or else move into democrat politics. He even got the former head of the FBI here to work for him. The democrats protect their own, while the Republicans mostly throw theirs to the wolves, because they all know how corrupted by democrat politics the justice system has become.

There is no fixing Louisville. This city is like all the others, on the slippery slope to being abandoned by taxpayers as crime goes up. Replaced only by people seeking handouts who will never be capable of earning a living thanks to their life of crime, hard drugs, or general unwillingness to ever work hard to earn their own living.
