Louisville civilian review board bill dead in the Kentucky legislature...

March 30th, 2021 @ 1:44PM (3 years ago)

They shouldn't have subpoena power to begin with, as they are not even a body of government. Most of them are laypeople with no expertise in reviewing police procedures. The civilian review board was only created to be a paper tiger in order to pacify the west-end and all the rest who are doing most of the complaining. One can only assume that neither the mayor's office nor metro council really wanted to give the review board that much power in the first place.

Fischer's comments about people having no confidence in the state legislative process show how truly out to lunch and out of touch the dude is. Everyone in Kentucky but Louisville Democrats view Louisville as a flaming dumpster fire of government idiocy and incompetency. The rest of Kentucky understands, as conservatives here understand, that the last 2 Mayoral administrations have created a cesspool of violence that people are actively fleeing. Even the formerly safe east end is being plagued by carjackings by the Godless ghetto youth that Fischer, his chiefs and liberal judges have allowed to talk the streets.

If there's going to be an accountability board, then it should be a state board reviewing the complete failure of a corrupt Louisville Metro leadership in everything they do.

The Metro Council likes to pretend their full time radical protestor friends aren't led by people who have committed felonies. They like to gaslight the public into believing that there's not a reasonable basis for concluding that the police accountability board here will end up with the same types of people they do in other big violent cities, which is full of police-hater felons, lawyers who sue police for a living and so-called non-profit SJW groups who fundraise to pay their six-figure salaries off of police hate.

This ex-felon BLMer who pointed a gun at a driver in the east end last summer was a salaried employee of one of the big activist groups in town that the metro council and Fischer routinely. Why should we believe they will screen these kinds of people? They never did in the past.

Departments that don't respond to auto thefts aren't police departments. Officers that don't respond to auto thefts aren't police officers. There are a lot of people out there in the policing world doing jobs they were never cut out for and never will be qualified for.

Black people: "Those saying that are ignorant, if not racist"

Louisville's turning into as much of a third world warzone as all the other democrat-run cities.

When you vote democrat, this is what you can expect. The detectives and feds leave patrol on their own to deal with the street battles while they send SWAT teams to any house with a Trump flag because they don't shoot.

See where Josh Jaynes has filed an appeal to get his job back. Good for him, everyone knows he was made the scapegoat on those warrants. What about firing his Sergeant, lieutenant, Major and at least the two colonels that were present(oh wait Schroeder and Chavous) already retired after letting everyone be the fall guys for the mayor. Regardless Jaynes did do a shizzy job writing them but the bosses should be held just as responsible for failing to review them and verify. If his attorney is smart that will be the issue as everyone knows they turn a street dealer in a cartel leader for the mayor.

Blah blah blah. Here is to the new boss same as the old boss. She has said nothing new boys and girls, not do you see her out where she needs to be with the troops or community. Good luck gaining trust chief from the troops. You nailed and failed in Atlanta but our Mayor and council failed again by bringing in a repeat of the last chief. Ugh

The clock it ticking on the verdict in Minneapolis. There will be violence and destruction from the radical left no matter what. As a private citizen, I pray for all of you and I am deeply saddened by the lack of support and leadership that you are faced with. There is not one storefront pane of glass in this city that is worth risking your livelihood, your freedom or all of your tomorrow's for. Look out for one another and stay safe.

Here are the democrats' honest views on both segregation and civil rights.

"If You Can't Be a Guest in Black Space, Get the F**k Out!" - Black Protesters Cuss Out White Kids Who Told Them to Quit Hurling Ice Bottles at Police

These white kids were likely assigned as riot managers in Minneapolis so they told black protesters to quit hurling ice bottles at police. The protesters told the kids "You're in a black space, remember that! You're a white. You already don't belong. If you can't be a guest in a black space then get the f**k out! Get the f**k out! Shut the f**k up!

The Minnesota National Guard was fired at in a drive-by shooting in north Minneapolis early Sunday morning -- just hours after Rep. Maxine Waters told the Black Lives Matter extremists to be "more confrontational." Local news station WCCO reported that the Minnesota National Guard said its members, along with Minneapolis police officers, were "providing neighborhood security" near Penn and Broadway avenues when someone fired shots from a white SUV. The shooting took place shortly after 4 a.m, shots were fired at the National Guard and law enforcement in north Minneapolis. Two National Guard members sustained injuries.

According to the allegations in the criminal complaint, during the early morning hours of April 18, 2021, a team of Minnesota National Guard soldiers, along with an officer of the Minneapolis Police Department, was stationed at the corner of Penn Avenue North and West Broadway Avenue in Minneapolis. At approximately 4:20 a.m., a light-colored SUV driving on West Broadway Avenue fired multiple shots at the team. One bullet went through the windshield of the team's military vehicle, which held four soldiers. Two soldiers of the Minnesota National Guard sustained minor injuries: one was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries from shattered glass; the other was treated at the scene for superficial wounds.

The criminal complaint also alleges that during the late evening hours of April 18, 2021, Minneapolis Police officers patrolling the area of 6th Street South and Cedar Avenue South encountered a 2002 Ford Explorer that matched the description of the SUV involved in the shooting. After conducting a felony stop of the vehicle, the driver, later identified as THOMAS, and a juvenile passenger, were placed in separate police cars. After obtaining a search warrant for the vehicle, officers recovered from the vehicle a Springfield Armory XD-9 9mm semi-automatic pistol, a .22 caliber revolver with an obliterated serial number, ammunition, and two discharged cartridge casings. Because THOMAS has a prior felony conviction in Hennepin County, he is prohibited under federal law from possessing firearms or ammunition at any time.

Fact: the lmpd officer that hit the protester Sunday apparently has zero common sense. Can't blame that in training, he should have known better. Regardless of IF the protester is even a known criminal which rumor has it he is but media not reporting it. Sure the guy was being resistive but come on, doing that serves no purpose other than to add fuel to a fire.

Fact: everyone knows Chauvin for what he deserved, no good officer would have ever done what he did. HOwever, and this is fact as well. Probably 90% of the protesters there and in Louisville getting paid for everyday they show up to protest and act like they give a damn when they know they don't. They are getting paid to create havoc and bait officers into confrontations just like what happened Sunday. However, our command in Louisville are ignorant and spineless we serve under. What the guilty verdict did in Minneapolis is Rick of the criminals as they now even though they don't need one lost a reason to riot and loot under the fake ruse and justice.

The US Department of Justice is preparing to save the people from the white racist police. Let's all give them a hand for bothering to take an interested in local policing, since they haven't done anything to help stem the tide of murders by the gangs and cartels they deem insignificant local police matters.

We can only hope that someone else will come save the people from the US Department of Justice when they allow federal officers to murder unarmed protestors posing no threat a few feet in front of police officers also in his line of fire.

If Louisville has any officers left by the end of the witch hunt, I will be surprised. Democrat cities who hate police shouldn't expect they will have police in the future.

Their track record proves nothing good ever came from federal people pretending they know how to police cities. They only know how to tell police what they're not allowed to do. You get the same result in every city: higher crime, more murders and an even more demoralized and understaffed department.

"More than four years later, Target 7 has found that nearly all of the cities that reached settlement agreements or consent decrees with the DOJ during the same time as Albuquerque have seen double-digit increases in violent crime - crimes like murders, rapes and robberies. Cops are also leaving the departments.

every city with a population higher than 50,000 people experienced a double-digit increase in violent crime. Albuquerque had a 36 percent increase in that time. Other cities included Seattle, 27 percent; Los Angeles, 61 percent; Cleveland, 13 percent; Phoenix, 10 percent; and 20 percent in New Orleans. "No, I am not shocked," said Shaun Willoughby, president of the Albuquerque Police Officers' Association. "Wherever the DOJ goes, crime goes up."

Don't worry. I'm sure that the federal officials will be fair and impartial in their investigation. It's not as if their efforts to uncover the truth and initiate charges in the pursuit of justice have ever been politically motivated or agenda driven.

People can disagree all they want. Yes LMPD has really made some serious mistakes. Everyone knows BT never should have happened and would not have happened had the Chief and Mayor not forced our officers to treat a petty dope dealer like he was running a cartel. The real fact is Mayor Fisher has single handedly destroyed LMPD and the city in a 10yr span, and more so I'm the past 5. We know this probe will not touch him, but we all know. Sadly we do not have anyone running who will do any better.

I agree it makes no sense whatsoever to block vehicle traffic to a shopping center unless there's an imminent threat of violence or property destruction. You would do this kind of thing if you were afraid of a suicide bomber driving into a building not because Derby Week is known to get wild on West Broadway.

What they could do instead is have people directing cars into parking spots or else a grocery pickup lane as soon as they enter the lot like at a sporting event. That would deter people from wanting to drive through. Kroger's never been that worried about looters before, since every time the looters strike Kroger just raises prices on all their customers. Maybe one day they'll get tired of being looter and close down that store, but traffic barriers aren't going to prevent that decision.

I am all for putting people from the projects into the rich neighborhoods who support Greg Fischer's turning the rest of Louisville into a crime filled hellpit since he took office. Once upper class people in Prospect and the other rich east end neighborhoods start complaining, maybe, just maybe, it will force the hand of our ruling class here in Louisville to do something about the crime. The alternative is watch everyone paying the tab to move out of the county. That's a lot more likely because you can't fix stupid.

Anyone see where a Louisville leader proposes a "Witness protection program"? Talk about an idiotic and joke of an idea. Let's figure out another way to waste money. Let's spend all kinds of money on anything except hiring officers for our city. If you live in divisions like the 7th and 8th you are definitely underserved already. But hey that's okay let's waste money on feel good carp that does not work. While we are at it, let's hire some more idiots like Sergeant Meyer as well.

Facts that are indisputable:

1. Fischer has earned the title Worst Mayor Ever

2. Fischer has enriched his friends with sweetheart deals since being Mayor. Look no further than the Edison building for proof.

3. Name one person he has hired that is worth a damn. You can't, but you can name several as being bad...Conrad, Risco from Tarc, Bolton from corrections, the public works director, and the list goes on.

4. Violent crime and crime in general has done nothing but explode since Fischer took office.

5. Fischer created the Taylor incident, by wanting to clear out Elliott, see number 2 for why. Even extorting enough through harassment to force a person to give the city a house.

6. Fischer has been caught in multiple lies involving scandals...think explorer as one example, now will lie about fired Tarc director. He will also lie if DOJ interviews him.

7. Fischer has created the environment in Louisville and LMPD where crime is high, police are short massive amounts of manpower, and lowered standards.

8. Fischer has failed to deliver on anything. Ignored the communities and in particular the West and South ends of louisville.

9. Fischer has cost the taxpayers millions to cover up his scandals to include 12 million last year to make his real estate scam go away. Sure the Taylor case needed settlement but it was done so quickly to stop people from digging into the reason why the incident occurred in the first place.

You'd thing with over a dozen major gang cliques in the west end that the chief of LMPD would be aware of at least a few of them being the cause of violence, rather than just individuals. The problem with policing from air conditioned offices and taking field trips to serve warrants on occasion is law enforcement has no clue who's who on the streets. They sit back and wait on federal agencies to hand them information, when they are the most clueless of all about anything but right-wing guys in cabins. When's the last time you ever saw anyone around here arrest the leadership of a street gang? If you can't do the job, then bring in someone with experience who can, rather than continuing to pretend you know what the f--k you're doing. Even a blindman gets lucky enough to catch a few fish. Don't take that as a sign of a turnaround.

"LMPD is going to rein in this gun violence," Shields said. LMPD has reported 62 homicides and 232 non-fatal shootings in 2021 as of Friday, May 14. "I don't think anyone has an issue with us being engaged, the question is how are we doing it," Shields said. "Are we in the right area focused on the correct individual? Now we didn't happen to be focused on these individuals but they fell on our lap but...it's being very deliberate in how you police."

We have a mayor, and Chief who are weak. A metro council that is taking no action. Fischer has proven to be as weak of a leader( heck cannot even use leader) when talking about him. He has picked pathetic leadership throughout his history. Council could have removed him but proved weak. Violence in our city has become unreal and in all neighborhoods, yet they want to spend millions on b.s. Programs like safe and healthy neighborhoods which has done what???? .......residents are bailing everywhere and downtown is a wreck. We can only hope a real person steps up to run and they win. Not a dem or rep either.

Let's talk about civil rights.

All the really bad ideas in law enforcement come from the District of Clowns. All the formerly safe cities with new dead bodies in the streets every day got that way from the weak policing preached by the Obama Justice Department. Now the same libtardian stupidity is coming from the Biden Justice Department. How is encouraging the inner city thugs to kill each other through weak policing giving them civil rights?

They love to preach how everyone else is violating civil rights, while running their jails to make treatment of inmates worse than Cuba's.

https://amgreatness.com/2021/05/25/man-in-pelosis-office-discusses-jail-conditions-for-january-6-detainees/

"First off, all the cells are contaminated with black mold, even the sink we are supposed to drink out of. Detainees are held in solitary confinement conditions for 23 hours a day. Breakfast, Barnett said, arrives at 3:30 in the morning and is inedible "slop." Dinner usually consists of bologna. The guards, Barnett said, go out of their way to make life harder for the detainees. "It is purposeful and deliberate collusion, to make every facet of your existence miserable," Barnett said. This includes instances of physical abuse; guards slammed Barnett's face into the concrete floor at one point. Another detainee, Barnett recounted, was attacked in his cell in the middle of the night, handcuffed and beaten "senseless," Barnett said. He suffered extensive injuries. "They damn near killed him."
