And another point or two:

If the great officers care more than the community they protect, it won't get better. You can't care more than they do and expect positive results

If you irrationally rage long enough, and exalt illegitimate "martyrs", then eventually command/officials will cave.

What that teaches all sides is to quit caring and raise a fuss anytime you don't like something.

True winning formula for sure!

This decision is nothing cowards playing more identity politics. Command and Fischer have allowed identity politics to turn 2 good departments into 1 highly dysfunctional, demoralized and ineffective department. They turned Louisville from a relatively safe city into one of the most dangerous cities in America. They make things look better than they are by calling the entire county the city. The old city, also known as the urban services district, is one of the top 5 most dangerous places in America. It used to be down around 100th to 150th most dangerous before merger.

The stand downs began under White and Gentry. Nobody has policed the west end like LPD did since merger, thinking "let them kill each other". They lacked the good judgement and policing experience to know that the west end would become the breeding ground for gangs and violent criminals operating county-wide. You don't just allow one part of town to turn into 2005 Baghdad without the surrounding county to go with it.

Whoever this next chief is will either take the department back to where things used to be before 2003 in every way possible, or else preside over the implosion of Louisville and permanent loss of most of its working residents and jobs. Louisville will keep the criminals and permanently unemployed ones though.

"if she was raised better, and kept away from thug trash like him, then she'd have never been in the drug business and police never would have come through her door."

If youhadnt lied to get a warrant youd have never come through her door. The rest of your ******** is just you trying to justify you fucking pigs being corrupt and incompetent.
