Common sense and a voice of reason is completely lacking with the protesters. Even if a dangerous criminal were running directly toward an officer with an Uzi in one hand and a chainsaw in the other, and the officer responds with lethal force, they would still find a reason to blame the officer. Or they'd say "the officer could've shot him in the leg" or something equally as ridiculous.
