The Metro Council says they have to sign off on the new contract for it to be valid and supposedly most of them aren't going to agree to it. The County Attorney staff, in their usual incompetent style, agree with the metro council that they can veto the contract signed by the Mayor. Unfortunately for them, the law at KRS 67C. 414 is crystal clear that once it's signed by the Mayor it's a valid enforceable contract.
