"The police officers deserve better; the residents of Louisville Metro deserve better." You are so right. There are plenty of unintelligent assholes that don't respect you, but there are many, many more good people that have the utmost respect for law enforcement. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!!

the city deserves better, thats for damn sure. They deserve better than the corrupt **** that exists as LMPD. They deserve a depertment that upholds the law especially for themselves, not making exceptions for when their own recklessness kills innocent people.

Everyone knew where metro was headed shortly after Robert White became chief. They are who disbanded the gang unit and made officers so demoralized they didn't want to do anything but answer calls. There was a vote of no confidence in White in January 2005.

Nobody else stepped up to the plate to stop the crime here. KSP never bother to show the faces. The feds cherry pick a few cases to spend all their time on and a lot of what they do has absolutely nothing to do with violent crime. Hardly any of them ever got any experience working the street in a high crime urban area, so they're fish out of water here. Nobody in charge of LMPD or anybody else here has a clue what they're doing when it comes to violent street gangs. Don't expect Gentry to fix that either. It will require the feds to bring in some gang experts from other states who can take charge of the situation. They can trade out some of the other investigators we don't need here as much. There are plenty of other cities they can go to arrest rogue basketball coaches or doctors overbilling medicaid.

They should bring along some trainers to teach basic investigative procedures for gangs and drug syndicates, aside from just pulling over suspicious vehicles.
