Police chief's criticism casts doubt on Metro Council plan to restrict LMPD's use of force

Council voted on ordinance to limit police use of force. That's the headline. Expected from idiots like Coan, Holaander and Sexron Smith who even went further to her slimy political hackery as she hoped to be mayor by simply saying " If you voted for Breonnas law you should vote for this". Couple points no one has said.....their voting for this can and should be interpreted as they do not like or trust the police...why? Because most of what they voted on already policy, and voting for this means you are thinking police come to work wanting to use force. A crock of b.s. Look at the part where police should exhaust all de-escalation efforts, no kidding!!!!!!! How about split second incidents. Another issue is their outright shameful pandering instead of asking the entire city to weigh in they ignore most.

Last....D James has wasted a political career and chance for Mayor. He had a chance to lead and clean it for a few political bucks. Either that or he has been threatened or is scared to step up for this city and lead. What a shame.

He's an example of why you shouldn't vote for someone just because they did something like police or fly a plane like Amy McGrath. People can be good at a non-leadership job, then fail miserably when put in charge. As demonstrated by the majority of command officers through the years who were at least somewhat OK on the street but horrible as Majors or above.

David James has gone up the river like Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now while representing the esteemed people of places like Smoketown. The ignorant majority vote of Louisville is eager to put another another incompetent wishy washy politician into the mayor's office so they can riot over the bad job they'll do. The ignorant welfarians would rather rip their own eyes out than vote for a Republican like Leet who would have gotten rid of or never hired certain individuals with bad track records, before they fired wildly into the apartment.
