Police chief's criticism casts doubt on Metro Council plan to restrict LMPD's use of force

Make no mistake, she is for the most part a nice person unless she does not get what she wants. She is not in this for any type of real change just to cash a check because she found out her skills are limited in many cases in actual ability. The do good stuff was for show in her career. The rank she obtained was simply put being on the team as she hoped to be chief which is not saying she was wrong for wanting it. Just that she never truly has had any leadership ability to deliver our department to the right side. Anyone on the past 15 or 20 years know her history and was never about police work or the community unless it made her look good. Good luck to her regardless as we can only hope she can deliver a little. Just know she is facing a moron in the Mayor and even bigger ones at the council.

She proved herself to be very naive about the west end criminals and activists before she retired. The lower income west end people typically in a position to witness or hear talk about felonies live by the rule "snitches get stitches". She thought they would eventually abandon that to make their community a safer place. They've done none of that even as murders went from 70 to 90 to 110 to 140 per year in the west end alone. Hating police and protecting the black criminal element is how they're wired to be. That's why it will never get any better, unless a more "benevolent" criminal organization takes over there and kills off the most violent criminals like happened in the 1940s-1950s in other cities. The small youthful fragmented gang cliques of Louisville have no shortage of psychopathic heathens signing up to kill for cash living the gangster life. You can't fix that being a political salesman. She might not be a bad chief someplace else. A place that doesn't require pissing off dirty politicians and offending radicals by insisting on law and order in order to be an effective chief like is required to be effective here.
