That was them taking the 5th on the advice of counsel. Every chief has always been sued on a continuous basis by somebody for the last 20-30 years. It never prevented them from talking at a hearing. The city and insurance pay all those bills, even if they get sued personally. It was probably a smart move on their part on a personal level, but there's no reason for any of them to continue working here while taking the 5th. This isn't communist china where everything can be done in secret even if
