Truth be told, LMPD began laying down in 2004 as a result of how this criminal-loving community, hug-a-thug politicians and political command demoralized everyone. It's been 16 years since anyone was used to doing higher risk activities. The department lost its ability to handle high risk situations. Look at who was on that warrant service in this so called elite unit. At least one guy who should have been fired a few years ago for serious misconduct.

People got promoted or moved to specialized units before they even mastered riding a beat. The good ones were forced out by Robert Whites purges followed by Steve Conrad's purges. Neither of them ever tired of renaming units and moving the bad people in and the good people out of units doing higher risk work. Always some family friend of Conrad's inner circle.

When the smoke clears, I don't see many officers staying if they have better options. They will keep all the types who do the future bad shootings though.

That is a ridiculous idea and certainly violates the 4th amendment. He buried it on private property. In addition to that unless you're securing the house and the occupants, good luck trying to dig in somebody's backyard on Elliott Ave and not be disturbed and that's not even talking about any evidence inside the house that will no longer exist.
