The belt toys issued to police today are nearly worthless in knock-down drag-out hand-to-hand combat with a criminal on controlled substances. Back in the day when police policed, a good baton would make quick work of that dude. He'd be recovering from a broken finger or forearm instead of being dead. The lawyers, activists and scared politicians made Louisville much more dangerous for citizens, criminals and police alike.

Louisville's crime wave is a result of the unintended consequences of liberal rules and liberal laws. Louisville used to average only 50-70 murders per year and rarely did officers have to use deadly force. Criminals didn't carry guns because officers used to frisk them routinely. They didn't assault officers nearly as much because they knew they'd get a beat down. Now they carry guns and assault police, so they get shot. The west end got what they wanted, a weak inactive department that lets criminals carry guns whenever they feel like. Now they are burying over 100 of their people per year.

Obviously all we need is to get rid of the police department, because of course the law abiding citizens are way too afraid to carry guns and use them in protecting themselves. A few of the more intelligent liberals might question that decision if 200-300 criminals are getting killed in justified self defense shootings every year. Most of them will just demand we ban guns, so that everyone ignores the law like in dangerous war zone cities like New York, Atlanta and Washington DC.

If the people don't quit listening to Democrats and electing them, eventually this country will look like Somalia.
