I feel sorry for the young children in the gangland neighorborhoods being brought into the hellish existence that democrats created there while pretending to help them. If their parents don't move them out of there, they don't stand much of a chance of succeeding at anything that won't get them killed or put in prison. The ones who get a job working for Metro are considered the relatively rare success stories. Assuming they're too honest to get into crime, most have little possibility of avoiding long-term unemployment or very low wage jobs.

I don't at all feel sorry for those into violent crime. That's a purely moral choice that nobody's forced into. Some grow up to be bad people. They are who created much of the reason nobody is willing to put jobs in those areas. It's certainly not for lack of available cheap labor.

Here's what democrats' "Great Society" programs aka welfare have done by getting black people hooked on welfare and creating welfare rules that break up families

A report released by the Urban Institute finds that the African-American family has declined across almost every measure since the 1960's. In 1950, 17 percent of African-American children lived in a home with their mother but not their father. By 2010 that had increased to 50 percent. In 1965, only eight percent of childbirths in the Black community occurred out-of-wedlock. In 2010 that figure was 41 percent; and today, the out-of-wedlock childbirth in the Black community sits at an astonishing 72 percent. The number of African-American women married and living with their spouse was recorded as 53 percent in 1950. By 2010, it had dropped to 25 percent.
