The officers can clearly be faulted for trying to move people around who didn't require moving. They should have left them alone. Who cares if they're standing at 26th and Broadway. It's where they live. The only thing officers should be worrying about is violence and property destruction. These kinds of incidents can make all of this get a lot worse. Common sense is required, but that hasn't been a police job requirement for at least 10 years if you had a pulse and a diploma.
