1 dead after LMPD officers, National Guard shot at while attempting to disperse crowd

The mayor and certain metro council members have already turned against us. The local media has turned against us. They are too quick to rush to judgment, without waiting for all the facts to be gathered. "Mr. Barbeque, oh what a great man, everybody's friend... those officers and national guard shot him for no reason." The politicians are already handing out apologies to the suspect's family and friends, without even knowing most of the details. The elected officials pretend like if there's no body cam video of the incident, then the officers' accounts of the incident really didn't happen. Instead of just accepting the fact that sometimes people do bad things and commit crimes, it's much easier for the mayor and others to placate the community by putting centuries of racial injustice and oppression on the police officers' shoulders. The officers who are stuck in the middle of this giant mess didn't create it, so stop scapegoating them. The mayor and a few others have allowed the chaos and violence to continue for the last five days in a row, because of their softhanded approach to the situation. They might see it differently if they were the ones surrounded by the rioters and having fireworks and other objects launched at them every night.

The west-enders had a busy night. First they set fire to Dinos with a molotov cocktail, and then went across the street and looted Kroger. I wonder how many tens of thousands of dollars in theft and damages they deliberately caused? They need to hold their own West Louisville community accountable instead of always blaming everything on racism or the latest trendy buzzword of the week.
