The mayor may have given the stand-down orders, but the officers are still empowered and backed by KRS... I strongly suggest that they use it in the future, unless they just want a repeat of the last two nights. The public deserves at least that much. They deserve to have a basic level of personal safety and their property protected, not vandalized and looted by unrestrained rioters.
