Fischer must have a list of fired and unemployed ex-police chiefs by now. He's probably cold calling them as they eat their cheerios in the extended stay hotel.

Ask yourself why he brought in Hess. She's former Deputy Mayor Hesen's replacement as the insulation between the Mayor and a department with a lot of troubles. He's always tried to keep the department at arms length so he could deny anything is his fault. He never quite understood that failing to lead or correct the situation at LMPD is a major failing as a Mayor. A lot of formerly pacified people in Louisville now see crime affecting their neighborhoods and they're not happy. He may have been able to work the system to get re-elected, but this city will breathe another sigh of relied when he's gone too.
