You weren't nearly as much of a civil libertarian when narcotics officers lying about their 70 hours of overtime per week were sending some kid from the west end to jail for possession of a controlled substance. Officers who normally assume the public's guilty until proven innocent are the first to insist they're 100% innocent until a jury finds them guilty. That's called hypocrisy.
