Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Always make it home. That's all that ever really matters. I place all of the blame where it actually belongs for us making every run and sometimes having to use force... the criminal. That is where the blame goes for all of our work.

If you choose to be aggressive good for you. If you choose to stay in your car good for you. That's your choice. We each have to make that decision. It's in our own head and heart what we do and why we do it. That's for individual officers own judgment. It isn't for me to judge risk taking tolerances or the decisions that were made on a run that a criminal forced. I may not like everything I see out here either, but I turn it inward and make personal growth from it. I don't look to place blame. In my experience, those that are the ones judging are never the ones who have ever been there... they are too busy making judgments.

Before you revolt that I am merely a house cat, understand that I realize that many HQ decisions are ruining the agency and that they are driving us into the ground. Then again, it's the criminals who make us work. And I work for my partners and the decent people out here. Stay safe, go home, and support one another.
