Virginia police coming to Louisville to recruit LMPD officers

Now now- your sergeant has definitely degraded your morale but don't be too upset. I know your comments mean well but after another summer of peace walks, further decriminalization of a few low level crimes, a new jail diversion program, shutting down the youth detention center, a brilliant departmental reorganization, a strong push to get us down to 900 officers, a new tax to help with handout programs, and a few Wednesday night city-wide events on the great lawn areas, things will improve. The brilliant intellect of head quarters and city hall can't be overstated. I have total faith in them and hope you can learn to trust them too. We just have to let the plans work and that takes time. They have to get control of the police first. After all, we are the ones that are really causing all of this by working to make communities safer and holding people accountable at the same time. They have only been around for a decade. Please don't be so impatient.
