I agree wholeheartedly with the other comment mentioning Churchill Downs. LMPD is turned into a security guard service for a for-profit company every year for months. Officers are taken away from law enforcement duties to be security guards, including a lot of detectives and command. There's no better rationale for that bit of corporate welfare than for putting a crossing guard on the PUBLIC sidewalk and the PUBLIC street in front of the school to safeguard children walking home. When you're so
