I'm not saying that it's unfortunate that crossing guards are being cancelled or reassigned. But as a citizen, here are my 2-cents: 1) Private schools are just that: private. It is not the burden of the taxpayer to provide extra services at those locations. That defeats the point of making them "private." 2) I see Louisville Metro was providing services in St. Matthews. Doesn't St. Matthews have it's own city government and police department? I get that the school is part of the Jefferson County
